North Country Honor Flight exists to keep President Truman's promise to our veterans, that America will never forget their sacrifices.

Since its founding in 2013, North Country Honor Flight has made 17 flights, bringing 254 veterans to see the World War II memorial and to receive the thanks of a grateful nation.

It is our goal to give every North Country World War II veteran who is able to travel the opportunity to receive this recognition. With the help of countless supporters and volunteers -- and with your support -- we hope to achieve that goal.

The North Country Honor Flight organization is a registered non-profit 501(c)3 corporation. Contributions made to North Country Honor Flight are tax deductible. We are the registered "Regional Hub" of the Honor Flight Network serving upstate New York and the North Country. We are part of a network of non-profits dedicated to honoring America's veterans by providing them free, safe transportation to and from Washington, D.C.

Each veteran travels with a dedicated guardian responsible for his or her comfort and safety. Every Honor Flight group is accompanied by two medical personnel, and wheel chairs and oxygen are always available. Honor Flight trips depart and return on the same day, so no overnight stay is required while traveling, and all necessary transportation is provided to and from the local airport as well as within Washington, D.C.
